Happy New Year!! Now that the new year there are some regular troupes that return for their annual visit. “New Year New Me” statements, Full Gyms of people making good on new commitments to fitness, and commitments to getting a new place to live rent or buy. While with Renting there is a much more fixed window because it usually coincides with a current lease ending but has a realtivly short turn over a time. Buying a house often requires much more lead time. Time to Negotiate, inspections, then an actual close. In addition requires greater savings so it requires greater planning. Both have require similar assessments at times. What from your current day to day life will you keep and what will you discard or change? How close do you want to be to work or school, to your family or local places you frequent? What is your budget? Are you moving with people or a significant other? One thing I have learned from my expierence as a realtor is that what is important to the reason behind the move needs to be established and agreed upon by the realtor and client soas to establish the realistic paramiters for the search. I started this blog to inform people about issues specific to Chicago as well as Real Estate in general.
