What you truely require from your next apartment

I lived in 4 differnt apartments before moving in to my current place. While I didn’t move a lot there was a reason for that.  I found apartments that had my favorite attribute, most were on quiet tree lined streets.  When I was younger and lived in busy areas of the city, but 3 of the 4 apartments were located on quiet streets.  This meant that I could turn the corner to my block and it felt like closing a door, keeping the sound out of my tree lined street.  I came to this realization because my second apartment was somewhat close to Wrigley Field. While sometimes it was great to be able to walk home from a social outing at times it was also madening.  Coming home to drunk people passed out on the corner or using the bathroom on the side of the building was a regular occurance.  Which may at times seem sophomorically funny,  is not funny when returning home from a long day of work in the middle of the week.  From that moment I realized how much I enjoyed my first apartment because it was located on one of those quiet streets. A type of street Chicago is full of and seems to be known for.  From that moment on I realized how important that aspect was to ensuring my positive expierence living in the city.
